How we work

Two hours of your time. Live in fourteen days.

No six-week discovery phase. No agency theatre. Here's exactly what happens, what we need from you, and what you get — start to finish.

We learn your business

A 30-minute call and a short questionnaire. What you sell, who buys it, why they pick you over the place down the road. We look at your competitors and your Google presence before we call, so you're not explaining your own market to us.

Day 1 · 30 minutes of your time

We design, then build

You see the design before a line of code exists — changes are cheap at this stage and expensive later. Then we build it: mobile-first, accessibility checked, fast, with the local search foundations already in place.

Days 2–12 · one hour of your time

We launch, then we stay

We verify everything before it goes live, then keep it alive: hosting, patching, backups, monitoring and your monthly edits. Email us a change; it ships. This is the part almost everyone else skips.

Day 14 → every month after
The uncomfortable bit

The only thing that ever delays a project is content.

Not design. Not code. It's the photos you meant to send, the bio you keep rewriting, the login for a domain you registered in 2019 with an email you no longer use.

So we ask for all of it on day one, in one list, and we chase you about it. The 14-day clock pauses if we're waiting on you — that's in the contract, and it's the only fair way to promise a deadline at all.

What we need from you

About two hours total. Thirty minutes on a call, a short questionnaire, whatever photos and logos you already have, and access to your domain. Then an hour to review the draft. We write the copy — you shouldn't have to stare at a blank page describing your own business.

The day-one list

  • Your logo — any format. If you don't have one, say so and we'll deal with it.
  • Photos of real work — phone photos of your actual jobs beat stock images every single time. Send us the messy folder; we'll pick.
  • Domain access — or the details of where it's registered. If you've lost it, that happens constantly and we'll help you recover it.
  • Anything you already wrote — an old brochure, your Facebook about section, an email you send to new customers. Raw is fine.
  • Three competitors — the ones you lose work to. Tell us what annoys you about their sites.

That's it. Not a 40-page brand questionnaire.

How review works

Two revision rounds are included; most clients use one. You see the design before we build, so changes happen while they're cheap. When you review, tell us what's wrong rather than how to fix it — "customers won't understand this bit" is far more useful to us than "make it blue."

Nothing ships without a human check

Every page passes the same gate before it goes live: every form actually submits and the notification actually arrives, tap-to-call works on a real phone, it loads fast on mobile, it passes accessibility, the security headers are right, backups are confirmed, and monitoring is live. We don't tell you it's launched until that checklist passes.

The 30-day warranty. Anything defective in what we built gets fixed free for 30 days after launch. That's not a free-changes window — new pages and new features are still quoted — but if something we shipped is broken, it's on us, in writing.

Then the part nobody talks about

Most websites are abandoned the day they launch. The designer disappears, nothing gets patched, the plugins rot, and eighteen months later it's slow, hacked, or quietly gone from Google.

Your care plan is the answer to that. Every month, without you asking:

  • Security patches applied — after a snapshot, so a bad update is a five-minute rollback
  • Backups run daily, plus independent copies kept off-platform in case the host itself has a bad day
  • Uptime checked every minute, with alerts to a real phone
  • Your content edits shipped, usually within two business days
  • A report on the first of the month, in plain English, showing what we did

Add Local Visibility and we run your Google presence too, and report your map rank alongside it.

If you leave

You take everything. Your domain was in your name from day one. We hand over a full export of the site and your hosting credentials within five business days. The procedure is written into the contract before you sign it — we'd rather be easy to leave and give you a reason to stay.

Process,
answered.

The questions people ask before starting.

How long does a website take?

Fourteen days from kickoff to live for Starter and Business sites, provided we get your content and feedback on schedule. That deadline goes in your contract. Larger builds with a store or booking system get a custom timeline agreed before we start.

What do you need from me?

About two hours in total. Thirty minutes on a discovery call, a short questionnaire, whatever photos and logos you already have, and access to your domain. Then roughly an hour to review the draft. We write the copy so you do not have to stare at a blank page.

What if I do not like the design?

Two revision rounds are included and most clients use one. We show you the design before we build it, so changes happen when they are cheap rather than after everything is coded. If we are genuinely not converging, you can walk away and only pay for work completed.

What happens after launch?

Your care plan starts. We host it, patch it, back it up daily plus keep independent copies off-platform, monitor it around the clock, and make your content edits. On the first of every month you get a plain-English report showing what we did and what it did for you.

Who actually does the work?

A career cybersecurity operations leader, working with a Telly Award recognised video partner when a project calls for film. You deal with the same person the whole way through. No account manager relay, no offshore handoff after the deposit clears.

See what your customers actually see.

We'll check your website and your Google presence properly — a real person, not an automated PDF — and send you a plain-English scorecard within 48 hours.
